Walking football fundraiser for Tameside man

A walking football tournament is being held in Tameside next month to raise funds for a local man following his sudden diagnosis with multiple myeloma.

Members of Droylsden Town Walking Football Club are organising the fundraiser in support of David Herd, who lives in Tameside and was recently diagnosed with the blood cancer.

The fundraising event will take place on Sunday, 5 July, from 10am to 12pm at Active Medlock, where teams will compete in a friendly walking football mini tournament. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting David during his treatment and recovery.

The organisers are inviting the local community to come along, watch the football and show their support. Donations can be made on the day, with every contribution helping to make a difference.
