COMEDY fans have been given a second chance to grab tickets for the Stalybridge Comedy Weekender after the popular event sold out.
An extra matinee performance has been added on Saturday, July 18, at the Victoria Market Hall, following strong demand for the evening shows.
The afternoon event will open its doors at 4pm, with the first act taking to the stage at 4.30pm. The show will run until 6.45pm and will feature a line-up packed with familiar faces from the comedy circuit.
Performers announced for the extra show include Lucy Beaumont, Josh Pugh, Justin Moorhouse and Phil Ellis.
With only 250 seats available, organisers Tameside Council are expecting tickets for the additional performance to be in high demand.

The Comedy Weekender is part of a growing programme of events helping to put Stalybridge on the map as a destination for entertainment, bringing together comedy, music and cultural events for audiences from across the area.
Tameside Council’s Executive Member for Lifelong Learning and Culture, Cllr Leanne Feeley, said: “We are so excited to squeeze in another show at the Comedy Weekender. It is absolutely fantastic to hear how quickly the tickets are selling out, showing how well-known and highly rated they are among residents and visitors.
“Stalybridge is constantly developing and becoming such a popular destination for such a range of activities and events. Join us for an unmissable show, right here in Stalybridge!”
