Shoppers are being invited back to one of the area’s most popular community events as the Mossley Farmers’ Market returns later this month.
The market will take place on April 26 from 10am to 2:30pm at Market Street Car Park, bringing with it a wide selection of homemade bakes, local produce and artisan goods.
Held on the last Sunday of each month, the market has quickly built a strong following since launching in 2024, becoming a staple in the Mossley community calendar.
Earlier this year, the event was recognised nationally after being named Best Small Speciality Market at the Great British Market Awards, marking a significant achievement for a market still in its first year.
Visitors can expect a variety of stalls offering fresh produce, handmade crafts, plants and sweet treats, alongside a welcoming atmosphere created by local traders.
The market is also known for its family-friendly entertainment, with previous events featuring everything from Laurel and Hardy tribute acts to interactive characters, children’s dinosaur experiences and classic car displays.
Tameside Council say the focus remains on supporting local makers while creating a lively and inclusive event for all ages.
