A MAN has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries after allegedly being attacked by a group of people wielding weapons.
Emergency services raced to Greenside Crescent in Droylsden on Friday evening (January 30) at around 6pm.
They were responding to reports that a man in his 30s had been attacked by several people, possibly using weapons.

Greater Manchester Police say paramedics treated the man at the scene before taking him to hospital, where he remains under care.
There is an increased police presence as officers carry out enquiries in the area.
Detective Inspector Paul Cawsey, of Tameside CID, said: “The investigation is at an early stage as we try to establish the motivation behind this incident that has resulted in a man being treated at the scene and in hospital.

“It is believed the assault was carried out by a number of individuals using weapons that have caused serious injury to the victim. We have officers in the area as we continue our investigation and to provide a reassuring presence.
