A NEW state-of-the-art gym is set to open in Droylsden as JD Gyms brings its award‑winning fitness experience to Greenside Retail Park.
The national operator, part of JD Sports Fashion PLC, is preparing to launch a fully equipped, 24‑hour facility offering members round‑the‑clock access seven days a week.
The site will feature a wide range of high‑spec equipment and training areas, including:
- A large strength zone with extensive free‑weights, benches and plate‑loaded machines
- A modern studio space designed to host hundreds of classes each month
- Bespoke Eleiko functional rigs with barbells, plates, kettlebells and dumbbells
- Specialist lifting platforms with adjustable racks for squats, deadlifts and strength training
- Premium cardio machines such as treadmills, bikes, cross‑trainers and rowers
JD Gyms CEO Alun Peacock said the new opening marks another milestone in the company’s rapid expansion.
