Trans Pennine Trail launches festive “12 Days of TPT” Christmas song

The Trans Pennine Trail has announced the launch of a festive community project, a Christmas song and video titled 12 Days of TPT, which will premiere on Christmas Day.

The project brings together supporters and volunteers from across the length of the Trail, celebrating the role communities play in supporting and caring for the national route. Contributors from different towns and sections of the Trail have taken part, with images and voices from users featured throughout the video.

The song has been created as a collaborative effort, with a backing track composed by Andy Nunn and contributions from individuals and groups connected to the Trail.

Organisers say the project reflects the creativity and enthusiasm of those who regularly use and support the route.

A spokesperson from the Trans Pennine Trail said the project highlights how important local communities are to the Trail, adding that featuring users’ images and contributions helps showcase what makes it unique.

The video will be shared with Trans Pennine Trail members and supporters by email on Christmas Day and published across the Trail’s official social media channels.

Viewers are encouraged to share the video and take part in celebrating the festive season along the Trail.

The Trans Pennine Trail runs coast to coast across northern England, providing a shared route for walkers, cyclists and horse riders, supported by volunteers and partner organisations throughout the year.
