RESIDENTS and colleagues at Millbrook Care Home in Stalybridge welcomed local MP Jonathan Reynolds for a visit during UK Parliament Week.
Mr Reynolds, MP for Stalybridge and Hyde, attended the home on Friday, November 28 where he met residents and staff to learn more about day-to-day life at the 46 bed service, which provides residential and residential dementia care.

He was shown facilities including the hair salon, nail bar, quiet room and a selection of ensuite bedrooms, while also speaking with residents about their experiences and views on local and national issues.
Staff outlined the home’s approach to person centred care and the programme of activities aimed at supporting residents’ wellbeing.
UK Parliament Week is held each year to encourage people across the country to learn about how Parliament works and how they can take part in democracy.
The event gave residents the chance to speak directly with their local MP and share what matters to them.
Claire Jones, Home Manager at Millbrook Care Home, said:
“We enjoyed welcoming Jonathan Reynolds to Millbrook as part of UK Parliament Week. Our residents valued the opportunity to share their views and hear directly from their local MP.”
