THEATREGOERS in Audenshaw can now access performances much more easily after a grant funded accessible entrance doors.
Guide Bridge Theatre, on Audenshaw Road, received a grant from the Theatres Trust, which paid for the installation.
They remove a major barrier to access and offer a smoother, more independent entry experience for people using wheelchairs and pushchairs and for those with mobility challenges.

It also ensures Guide Bridge Theatre remains an inclusive space for the entire community.
The Theatres Trust, the national advisory public body for theatres, committed funding through its Small Grants Programme, which is supported by the Linbury Trust, for the project.
The new doors replace the existing, manually operated entrance and Guide Bridge Theatre’s director, Jake Hague said: “We are incredibly grateful to The Theatres Trust for this generous and crucial support.

“Enhancing accessibility has been a top priority for GBT, and this grant makes it possible to tackle one of our most significant structural barriers – our car park entrance.
“The new accessible doors are more than just a physical improvement – they are a clear statement of our commitment to ensuring that everyone in the community can enjoy the magic of live performance and all our community activities without impediment.
“We look forward to welcoming many more patrons now the installation is complete.”
