AN AUDENSHAW care home is spreading Christmas cheer around the area by opening its doors to those may spend December 25 alone.
Guide Lane Care Home is offering up to eight local elderly residents the chance to join them for a festive dinner at 12.30pm.

Guests will enjoy a traditional Christmas meal in the comfort of a safe, warm and friendly environment alongside colleagues and residents.
And organisers hope it provides more than just a meal, but offers companionship, laughter and the chance to be part of a warm, welcoming community.
Charlotte Heathcote, Home Manager at Guide Lane, said: “No-one should have to spend Christmas alone.
“We want to offer older members of our community a chance to enjoy a traditional Christmas meal, make new friends, and share in the joy of the season.
“Being part of a friendly gathering can lift spirits, provide companionship, and help combat loneliness during the holidays.”
Those interested in attending are encouraged to contact the care home directly to reserve their place or ask any questions via 0161 335 9989 or Charlotte.Heathcote@hc-one.co.uk.
