RESIDENTS at an Audenshaw care home are getting ready to throw open their doors for a festive celebration which the whole community is invited to join in.
The Christmas party at Guide Lane Care Home will take place on Friday, December 19, promising an afternoon packed with music, food and creative fun for all ages.
Kicking things off at 1pm is a Christmas buffet lunch, with a spread of seasonal dishes to get everyone into the festive spirit.
From 2pm, the home will be welcoming an Elvis Tribute performer – an annual highlight that usually brings plenty of dancing, singalongs, and nostalgic smiles.

The party doesn’t stop there. Throughout the afternoon, guests can get hands-on with shortbread decorating, card-making and a mix of festive crafts. Those feeling brave – or tuneful – can jump on the mic later in the day for some Christmas karaoke.
A raffle will also run during the event, with a range of prizes up for grabs.
Home Manager Charlotte Heathcote says the team is already looking forward to welcoming the community in.
“We can’t wait to welcome everyone to our Christmas Party. It’s a special time to come together, celebrate the festive season, and share joy with our residents, families, and local community. We hope it will be a day filled with laughter, music, and happy memories for all.”
The event is open to residents, their families, and anyone in the local area who wants to join a festive afternoon close to home.
Guide Lane is one of more than 280 HC-One care homes across the country and continues to welcome new residents throughout the year.
