A NEW mural honouring boxing legend Ricky Hatton has been unveiled today on the side of the Harehill Tavern pub – right in the heart of his hometown.
Hatton, who grew up on the Hattersley estate before moving to Gee Cross, is celebrated for his incredible boxing career and his pride in his local roots.
The artwork stands as a reminder of a local lad who became a world champion and never forgot where he came from.
