TACO Bell has officially opened the drive-thru of its brand-new Ashton restaurant – with some special guests there to help cut the ribbon.
The launch took place on Monday, September 22, with staff from Willow Wood Hospice joining the team to mark the occasion and celebrate a new link between the fast-food chain and the local charity.

Willow Wood, which provides care and support for patients and families across Tameside and Glossop, will benefit from a partnership with Taco Bell as the restaurant settles into its new home on Ashton Moss Retail Park.
Shoppers and passers-by got a first look at the new drive-thru as cars pulled in to place their orders. The staff were on hand to welcome visitors and highlight the vital work the hospice does in the community.
A Taco Bell spokesperson said they were delighted to finally open the doors – or rather, the hatches – in Ashton and to celebrate the moment alongside Willow Wood.

Tara Farren, Community and Events Fundraiser at Willow Wood Hospice, said:
“We are absolutely delighted that Taco Bell in Ashton-under-Lyne has chosen the Hospice as their Charity of Choice. We’re so grateful for their support, which makes a difference in helping us to continue providing specialist care and support for local people with life-limiting illnesses and those closest to them. Partnerships like this are vital for Willow Wood and it was a pleasure to be invited to the new restaurant’s official opening.”
The Ashton branch becomes the latest addition to Taco Bell’s growing presence in Greater Manchester, serving up favourites like tacos, burritos, and quesadillas for diners, takeaway customers and now those looking for a quick stop via the drive-thru.
