Slimming World seeks new Consultants in Tameside and beyond

AN opportunity to help people across Tameside live healthier, happier lives is now available – as Slimming World invites successful members to consider running their own weight loss groups.

For more than 55 years, Slimming World has supported people to transform their lives by reshaping their mindset, adopting healthy habits around food and activity, and learning how to stay slim for life.

Local Consultant Rob Boardman, from Gorton, explained:

“With Slimming World’s flexible Food Optimising plan, you can enjoy filling, tasty meals – pasta, rice, potatoes, lean meats and fish – without feeling hungry or deprived. The plan is family-friendly too, so there’s no need to cook separate meals. Members can tailor it to their own tastes and lifestyles.”

Every Slimming World Consultant has been on their own weight loss journey, giving them the lived experience, empathy, and passion needed to guide and inspire others.

Sarah Fleming, a Consultant in Denton and Reddish who lost 4 stone before training in 2013, said:

“It’s a privilege to support others the way my Consultant once supported me. Helping people reach their targets is such a rewarding experience.”

New Consultants receive expert training via the Slimming World Academy, which provides both practical knowledge and psychological insight to help members make lasting lifestyle changes.

Jane Sigley, who runs groups in Audenshaw and Hadfield, added:

“Because I’ve been there myself, I understand the challenges members face. I’ll always be there to guide them to their personal goals.”

As well as the satisfaction of helping others, the role offers flexibility and the chance to build a successful self-employed career.

The next local opportunity event takes place on Thursday 2 October, 6pm–8pm, at Norton Grange Hotel, Rochdale. To book a place, contact Aimee Heeney on 07557 022279.
