STALYBRIDGE is making waves this week as a pop-up beach brings a splash of seaside fun to the town.
The indoor attraction is offering a vintage-style escape for families and fun-seekers looking to soak up the holiday vibes, without leaving Tameside.

Taking place inside the former Victoria Market Hall, now the Civic Hall, the ‘beach’ is open from 10am until 3pm each day to Saturday, August 23.
Every day brings something new to enjoy – from a beat-bopping kids’ disco and treasure hunts to group games and interactive touch tours.

Families are getting stuck into seaside-themed arts and crafts, puppet workshops and much more – and, just like at the seaside, there are deckchairs to relax in, sandcastles to be built in the sandpit, and plenty of ice cream to enjoy.
For children and families who prefer a quieter environment, sensory play time is running each day between 10am and 11am.
The pop-up beach is part of the Stalybridge Capital Regeneration programme, designed to breathe new life into the historic town and showcase the refurbished Civic Hall on Trinity Street as a vibrant cultural hub.
