THE curtain has fallen on another successful season at Hyde Festival Theatre, which called for a party to celebrate its dedicated volunteers.
The get-together shone a spotlight on the hard work and commitment of the people who keep the Corporation Street venue running.
From front-of-house and backstage crews to technical teams and hospitality helpers, everyone plays a vital role.

“Without our volunteers, Hyde Festival Theatre simply wouldn’t be what it is today,” a spokesperson for the theatre said.
“Their time, effort and passion are the heartbeat of our theatre, and they make it possible for us to remain an affordable, welcoming space for the next generation of thespians.
“This celebration is just one small way to say ‘thank you’ for everything they do.”
The theatre says it prides itself on “providing accessible entertainment for the local community” while “nurturing new talent both on stage and behind the scenes” – a mission it says is made possible only through the continued dedication of its volunteer network.
The recent celebratory evening was filled with laughter, music and fond memories from the past season, as everyone looked ahead to another programme of productions in the year ahead.
With the 2025/26 season approaching, the theatre is now looking for more volunteers to join the team.
Roles include serving drinks and snacks to audiences, helping people to their seats, ensuring visitor safety, and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.
Volunteers also receive rewards, complimentary drinks, and free show tickets.
No previous experience is needed as full training is provided.
