Denton dance school to take on world’s best in championships

A DENTON dance school will take in the world’s best as it represents England at a prestigious championships.

AJ Studios, based on Town Lane, will head to the Spanish city of Burgos to take part in the Dance World Cup 2025.

Competing against elite dancers from more than 100 countries, the school’s three street dance teams will face top talent from nations including the USA and Hong Kong.

The Dance World Cup takes place from July 3-12 and participants had to qualify through national qualifiers.

It is a big leap for the school after earning multiple England and regional championship titles.

But for founder Alana Warren, it is about much more than that.

The 21-year-old, described as ‘a once-shy local girl with dreams of bringing international opportunities to children across Tameside’ said: “This is about so much more than just dance.

“We’re giving kids the best possible start – keeping them active, engaged, and helping them explore the world through dance.

“It’s about social value, unity, and creating opportunities for children that they’ll remember for a lifetime.”
