JOB seekers will be able to connect with employers and training providers at a free event in Hattersley this summer.
Local residents will be able to learn about new vacancies, training pathways and career opportunities at a Jobs and Training Fair.
Everyone across Tameside and the surrounding area is welcome to attend on Tuesday, July 8, from 11am to 3pm at The Hattersley Hub on Stockport Road.
Those who go along will be able to receive personalised CV and interview advice, guidance with applications, and tailored tips to help elevate their career prospects.
Employers attending on the day will include First Steps Together, RVA Surveyors, Home Instead, and Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.
The event has been organised by social housing provider Onward Homes, in partnership with Tameside Council’s Employment and Skills Team.
The local authority will also be represented at the fair, offering vacancies in areas such as engineering and adult commissioning.
Councillor Leanne Feeley, Executive Member for Lifelong Learning and Culture, said: “This event supports the ongoing regeneration projects, as well as the further development of the district centre and already carried out by the work and skills coach in the area, to provide opportunities and support for the local community.
“There is a huge range of expertise and knowledge available to help residents discover new careers and roles. We’re encouraging residents to take advantage of this opportunity and come along where a new career, job or skills development opportunity could be waiting.”
