OFFICERS from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have appealed for information after a spike in burglaries in Tameside last week.
The first incident happened in the early hours of Friday, June 13, when cash and jewellery were stolen from a house on St Christopher’s Road in Hurst.
Police say the culprits let themselves in through an open upstairs back window before escaping through the back door and heading in an unknown direction at around 3am.
PCSO Ryan Chadwick from GMP’s Tameside North Neighbourhood Team said: “If you have any recollection of something happening during this timeframe, then please check your CCTV system for any footage that may be of evidential value.”
There is no description of the suspects.
At 10:20pm on the same day, two burglars were disturbed by residents after breaking into a house on Grange Road North in Hyde.
Both offenders were male and wearing dark clothes, with officers from the Tameside South Neighbourhood team keen to hear from any witnesses or anybody with doorbell or dashcam footage that may have captured the pair.
