THE local community is being invited to an Open Day at Stalybridge Fire Station.
Visitors will be able to experience what it’s like to be a firefighter.

The Rassbottom Street fire station will open its doors on Sunday, May 18, from 10am to 4pm.
There will be plenty of activities and displays on show – including a hose spraying challenge, aerial appliance demonstration, and a road traffic collision demonstration.
People in attendance will also meet the crews who help to keep the area safe.
Refreshments will be available on the day.
There is no admission fee but donations will be gratefully received.
All funds raised will be for The Fire Fighters Charity – which supports serving and retired fire and rescue service personnel, their spouses, partners and dependants, and other eligible members of the UK fire services community.
