STUDENTS and staff at Works 4 U College in Stalybridge have gone above and beyond this week, raising an incredible £750 for Comic Relief – smashing their original £500 target.
The week-long fundraising effort saw learners take part in a range of exciting and challenging activities, including a 10K hike around Derwent Reservoir, kayaking in Droylsden, a high-energy dance-a-thon at The Lock, and a delicious coffee morning today featuring homemade bakes.
The campaign brought the college community together in support of a great cause, with every activity contributing to the final total.
A spokesperson from Works 4 U said: “We’re so proud of our students and staff for putting their all into this week. From the physical challenges to the creative bakes, it’s been amazing to see everyone working together for such an important cause.”
Funds raised will go directly to Comic Relief, supporting projects that tackle poverty and social injustice across the UK and beyond.
