FANS of Coronation Street are in for a treat as Guide Bridge Theatre presents a talk filled with nostalgia, laughs and tales from the ITV soap.
‘On the Cobbles’ is hosted by Mark Llewellin DL, who has over 30 years experience of lecturing on the history of Corrie.
Mark’s partner Roy Barraclough MBE, who died in 2017, played Rovers Return landlord Alec Gilroy in the soap.
Mark, who is a Deputy Lieutenant of Greater Manchester and public speaker, will be telling nostalgic stories from the cobbles down the years.
Attendees can choose from two sessions at 2pm and 7.30pm on Saturday, May 17, at the Audenshaw Road theatre.
Tickets are £10 each – which will go towards the running of the theatre, where Mark is a life member.
For an added touch of Weatherfield tradition, guests can enjoy an optional serving of Betty’s Hot Pot for £5.
Proceeds from the raffle on the day will also be donated to Willow Wood Hospice, where Roy was cared for before he died and became the first patron. Mark continued this involvement by serving as a fundraiser, a patron and a trustee of the hospice.
Tickets can be bought online at https://www.gbtheatre.co.uk
