ONE of Tameside’s most sought-after restaurants, Ornella’s Kitchen, has teased the arrival of a brand-new location.
The tiny Italian eatery, based on Manchester Road in Denton, has become a local institution, with just a handful of tables available around its bustling deli counter.
So popular is this cosy spot that securing a booking often means planning six months, or more, in advance.

Now, the much-loved restaurant has confirmed its expansion, revealing ‘Ornella’s Little Kitchen’ as its next venture.
The new location will be part of Manchester’s Freight Island’s Spring/Summer 2025 programme, as the indoor-outdoor venue behind Piccadilly railway station announces its latest line-up.
Four new food and drink vendors are set to join the already extensive dining offering – and among them is Ornella’s Kitchen, one of the area’s hardest-to-book restaurants.
