Stalybridge store LH Homemade to close its doors

A POPULAR Stalybridge business is set to close its doors after eight years.

LH Homemade, on Melbourne Street, will shut once its stock is sold or by the end of February – whichever comes first.

Known for the store’s scented candles, wax melts and reed diffusers, owner Lauren Higgins made the announcement to her customers, expressing her thanks for their support over the years.

Originally opening in Top Mossley, LH Homemade relocated to Stalybridge in January 2022.

Lauren told The Correspondent she has been offered an exciting new opportunity in dentistry and, with her lease up in December, made the tough decision not to renew.

“I would like to thank all of my lovely customers, many of whom have become friends,” she said.

“I’m so very sad to be closing my shop, but I physically cannot manage both.”

To clear remaining stock, a 20 per cent discount will be available in-store starting immediately.

Lauren is also selling raw materials, equipment, fixtures and fittings. She is also open to offers for a full shop clearance.

Interested buyers can contact her by email at lh_homemade@hotmail.com.

As for the premises, the shop will soon be available to let. Lauren has offered to pass on the landlord’s details to anyone interested.
