Top comedians bring Christmas laughter to Greenfield

FOUR top comedians will bring festive cheer and laughter to Greenfield this Christmas season.

On Sunday, December 29, Mick Ferry, Daliso Chaponda, Eleanor Tiernan and Jordan Ducharme will entertain at Off The Rails Comedy Club at The Royal George.

Off The Rails regular host Mick Ferry will start the proceedings and introduce the acts for the evening.

From Malawi to Britain via Canada, former refugee Daliso Chaponda has appeared on everything from QI to Britain’s Got Talent, from the Royal Variety Performance to his own critically acclaimed Radio 4 series.

He is a bold, fearless and energetic performer who very nearly became a vicar, but that’s a different story for another time.

Best known in her native Ireland, Eleanor Tiernan has popped up on Stewart Lee’s Alternative Comedy Experience, Comedy Central and has played Latitude, Glastonbury, Montreal Just For Laughs as well as supporting a host of top comedians. Expect acerbic wit punctuated with some very big laughs.

The line-up is completed by Jordan Ducharme, a Canadian-born comic on the rise. Moving to Manchester in 2019, he was quick to make a big splash, winning local clubs gong show competitions, and now continues to build himself into one of the more promising comedians the UK has to offer.
