FOR one night only, the home of a local charity will be transformed for its first-ever cabaret show.
Emmaus Mossley will be raising the curtain and, hopefully, plenty of funds during a glittering evening at ‘Viva Las Emmaus Cabaret’.
A range of local musicians and entertainment will be performing – including Kyla Brox and Danny Blomeley, Jess and Jackson, Mike Mellor, Iain Mellor, songs from Collette, spoken word from Lisa Moore, and Jimmyduke and his Uke!
All proceeds from the fundraiser on Thursday, December 5, will go towards the refurbishment of Emmaus Mossley’s communal kitchen – which is used every day to prepare meals for the 26 people who live within the charity’s residential community.
The charity supports people who have experienced homelessness by providing them with a home, companionship, tailored support and work opportunities.
Tickets are £20 each for the cabaret evening, which include mocktails and special show-time hors d’oeuvres.
They can be bought in advance from the Emmaus Mossley Secondhand Superstore in Longlands Mill – where the ‘Viva Las Emmaus Cabaret’ will take place, from 6.15pm to 8.45pm on December 5.
As well as the entertainment, there will be a charity raffle and prizes for the best dressed guests.
“Building on the success of our past events, we’re excited to organise our first-ever cabaret evening,” said the charity’s Retail Manager, Hazel Hodkinson.
“The Viva Las Emmaus Cabaret will be a fun way to end the year and raise vital funds to update and improve facilities at our residential community.
“We are very grateful to all of the local musicians, entertainers and volunteers who are supporting this event.
“If you’re looking for a fun, alcohol-free and affordable evening out this December, be sure to visit our Secondhand Superstore to get your tickets before they sell out.”
