Stalybridge adorns streets with giant poppies as volunteers prepare for Remembrance Sunday

VOLUNTEERS  have been helping to commemorate the lives of those who served their country.

A number of giant Poppies have been placed around Stalybridge in preparation for Remembrance.

Trees on Grosvenor Street, Melbourne Street and Armentieres Square, key locations for the Remembrance Sunday parade, have been decorated ahead of the event.

The placing of the poppies coincides with the launch of The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

This annual campaign, led by dedicated Royal British Legion volunteers, honours the bravery and sacrifices of our armed forces, both past and present.
