STALYBRIDGE’S hospitality scene has gained further recognition with micro-bar Ol’s Bier and More being awarded a prestigious place in the Campaign for Real Ale’s (CAMRA) Good Beer Guide 2025.
This achievement brings the number of pubs in the town featured to five, establishing its reputation as a destination for beer enthusiasts.
Ol’s Bier and More joins The Society Rooms, the railway station’s Buffet Bar, Crafty Pint and Bridge Beers in the guide, which lists 4,500 of the UK’s best places to enjoy a top-quality tipple.
The Good Beer Guide, now in its 52nd edition, is the definitive resource for those seeking the finest real ale experiences.
This year’s celebrates pubs across the nation, featuring two of the most iconic from British TV on its cover – Coronation Street’s Rovers Return and Emmerdale’s Woolpack.
Despite the challenges facing the industry, the 2025 edition highlights more than 900 new entries, showcasing the resilience and dedication of pubs across the UK.
Stalybridge’s very own brewers – Bridge Beers, of Melbourne Street – is particularly celebrating a milestone – its eighth consecutive year in the guide.
Located on Market Street, Ol’s opened its doors in 2021 and has quickly become a go-to spot for those seeking something special in their drinking experience.
Owners Shaun and Ella Bishop expressed their excitement at being featured in the esteemed guide.
“We’re thrilled to announce that we have been selected to feature in The Good Beer Guide 2025 – the definitive guide to the very best pubs the UK has to offer,” they said.

The guide’s latest edition includes 159 of Greater Manchester’s finest pubs, with 29 new entries from the county, a testament to the region’s flourishing beer culture.
