Known affectionately as ‘Jay’ to many, he was a familiar face at the local pub or around the town and family and friends spoke of his warm personality, infectious smile and genuine respect for others endearing him to everyone he met.
Born and raised in Stalybridge, Jason attended Hob Hill Primary School and later West Hill High School, where he forged lifelong friendships, notably with his best friend Trav.
His coffin was accompanied on its final journey by Trav, whose HGV truck bore the poignant message, ‘The phoenix has risen.’
