PUPILS from Gorse Hall Primary School in Stalybridge teamed up with members of the town’s branch of the Women’s Institute to participate in ‘The Great Big Green Week’.
From June 8 to 16, students and WI members engaged in a series of activities centred around the theme of ‘clean water’.
Pupils unleashed their creativity by producing artwork that reflects their understanding and concern for water conservation. These imaginative pieces are now proudly on display at Stalybridge Library.
Val Clements, a member of the Stalybridge WI was delighted at the collaboration, stating, “It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm and creativity of the children. Working with them has been a joy.”
‘The Great Big Green Week’ is part of a nationwide effort to encourage communities in tackling climate change and preserving biodiversity.
