Stalybridge bar to have its licence reviewed

A STALYBRIDGE bar has been served with a licence review notice because of concerns over its operation.

Decades Heaven and Hell, on Market Street, now has a blue sign placed on its front after Tameside Council decided to call it in for investigation.

And its Speaker’s Panel (Liquor Licensing) panel will consider any action that may be taken.

The licence review notice, which was imposed on Friday, May 17, states: “The grounds on which the review has been called for are as follows – failing to effectively promote the licensing objectives, namely; the prevention of crime and disorder.

“Public – safety and the prevention of public nuisance.

Representations from anyone relating to the review can be submitted by Friday, June 14.

According to Companies House, Decades Heaven and Hell is run by Ian Whittaker, who is also involved with Back To The 80s and Sykes in the town.
