A CELEBRATION of women in enterprise from Tameside has made a triumphant return.
More than 60 people gathered at The Restaurant @ Tameside One recently for the first event of 2024 by Tameside Women in Business.
Attendees, who also enjoyed a complimentary lunch made by Catering & Hospitality students from Tameside College, had the space to network, share experiences and build new and existing business relationships.
Delegates described the free event as being ‘inspirational, engaging and thoroughly enjoyable’.
It was hosted by Louise Nolan, Practice Manager at Bromleys Solicitors in Ashton-under-Lyne, who said: “We had a fantastic time at our first TWIBs event of 2024 and we’re pleased to see from our guests’ feedback that the event was enjoyed by all.”
The guest speaker was Vic Elizabeth Turnbull, the founder of MIC media – a multi award-winning podcast production and training agency.
A judge for the British Podcast Awards for the past three years, she is also the co-founder and director of Pods Up North – a conference for podcasters.
With representatives from over 30 organisations in attendance, Bromleys hope to continue building on the success of the Tameside Women in Business network.
Planning is already under way for the next event on June 12.
