Glenn Piper (Green)
I AM proud to have the opportunity to stand as a candidate for the Green Party in Audenshaw.
I wanted to give people the chance to vote for a local Green candidate and offer a real alternative to the two main parties.
We need to work together to find solutions to common problems.
I am passionate about environmental issues and striving for a cleaner, greener and safer place to live is a priority.
I recently retired after 30 years in teaching and am a keen runner and cyclist.
Our Green Belt and other green spaces are essential for health and well-being and need to be protected.
The Green Party is doing great work in councils up and down the country.
It is time for a change in Tameside. If you want Green, vote Green.
Teresa Smith (Labour)
I AM delighted to once again be selected as the Labour candidate in Audenshaw.
I have represented the area for the last 12 years, working hard to put residents first, acting on their concerns and making sure we receive a fair share of any available funding.
Along with my Team Audenshaw colleagues, I promise that I will continue to support our local community and continue to provide cultural events including Bands in the Park and Christmas Movie Nights.
Road safety and speeding traffic has increased and I promise to continue to work with our local police to address these and anti-social behaviour issues.
Our green spaces are close to my heart and I promise to continue to work to protect them and ensure our parks are beautiful, child friendly places to visit.
It has been an honour and a privilege to serve the residents of Audenshaw since 2012 and I ask that you continue to put your faith in me on Thursday, May 2.
