HYDE is to shortly become home to the latest branch of a North West-based independent coffee chain.
The Coffee House is set to take over the unit that was once home to Bonmarche in Clarendon Square Shopping Centre.
And founders Chris and Stephen Shelmerdine believe it will add to a town already earmarked for a huge regeneration project.
The Hyde store – which will add to a growing list of locations across the region, including Stockport, Bolton, Sale and Bury – is set to seat up to 80 people and will also house a bespoke wooden counter, handmade by the brothers’ father, along with industrial-style furnishings, ambient lighting, and comfortable seating to create a modern and relaxing environment.
Co-founder Chris said: “We can’t wait to meet the community of Hyde.
“We are really passionate about creating an amazing customer experience and believe that with our dedicated teams, and quality products, it will be a lovely space for people to relax and meet up with their friends and family.”
Founded in 2011, The Coffee House says it has been dedicated to changing the way people eat, drink, and relax in their local communities.
And its arrival in Hyde is seen as a huge boost.
Katie Hayes, Centre Manager at Clarendon Square Shopping Centre, said: “We are delighted to welcome The Coffee House to the CSSC at Hyde.
“As a team, we have been looking for another quality operator and felt strongly that The Coffee House was perfect for both parties at this time.
“They will be a great asset not only to the CSSC but also to the town and community.”
Work on changing the unit is already underway, along with the recruitment for their new team.
