CHILDREN in Ashton-under-Lyne will be able to enjoy a cracking day of activities in Waterloo Park on Easter Monday.
The event is being held on April 1 from midday to 3pm by the Friends of Waterloo Park, in partnership with Waterloo Action and Perry Jones Funeral Services.
There will be an Easter egg hunt around the park, outdoor games, seed planting in the Community Garden, craft activities and a tuck shop in the Park Centre, and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny.
The free event at the park, on Store Street, is suitable for children aged 11 years old or under and was regarded as a great success last year.
As the park has no parking available, people are being encouraged to walk or take public transport and can just turn up to join in the fun – with no need to book in advance.
