A FUNERAL director is inviting children around Mossley to get involved in an egg-citing game this Easter.
Anthony Barton Funeral Services, which opened last year, has organised an Easter Egg Hunt from March 18 to 25 to engage local youngsters.
Plastic coloured eggs will be hidden anywhere and everywhere throughout Mossley – from hanging in trees to stuck to fences – with a special note inside each one with a surprise.
Anthony will also be hiding three golden eggs – and the finders of these will receive an even bigger surprise!
To ensure fairness and to give every child a chance, it’s kindly requested that each child brings only one egg and note to the funeral parlour, at 63 Stamford Street in Mossley.
Anthony decided to organise the Easter Egg Hunt to give something back to the local community.
He told the Correspondent: “Building upon the success of our Golden Baubles Hunt at Christmas, where I distributed over 150 selection boxes to children who found a Golden Bauble, I want to make this year’s Easter Egg Hunt even more memorable.
“I would like to contribute to the community that has supported me since November 2023 when I transitioned from another Mossley Funeral Director and established my own Family Funeral Directors.
“It’s important for me to convey that Funeral Directing is not solely morbid, and I strive to be approachable and involved in community events.
“As a father of five children, I understand the joy that Easter can bring, and if I can bring a smile to even one child’s face, I consider it a job well done.
“Let’s make this Easter Egg Hunt a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone in Mossley!”
