Woman left with life-threatening injuries following road traffic collision in Denton

GREATER Manchester Police are appealing for information after an elderly woman was left with life-threatening injuries following a road traffic collision.

Officers were called to the scene on Worthington Way at the junction with Ashton Road in Denton on Monday, February 19 at approximately 1:30pm.

The pedestrian, in her 70s, sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital for treatment. The driver remained at the scene to assist officers with their enquiries. A police cordon was implemented for several hours while investigations were carried out.

No arrests have been made.

GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
