Hyde theatre to screen top films during half-term

A HYDE theatre is projecting fun for families and film enthusiasts after announcing its half-term cinema mine-up.

The Festival Theatre, on Corporation Street, will allow people to take in top films for a fraction of the cost, with tickets priced at just £2.50 per person.

On Thursday, February 15 and Friday, February 16, the venue will be screening the Super Mario Brothers Movie, Wonka, Matilda the Musical and Trolls: Band Together.

And chairman Daniel Oliver-Grant believes this latest scheme, licensed by FilmBankMedia, furthers the commitment to support local families.

There is also an affordable bar offering refreshments, so people can indulge in a memorable movie-going experience without worrying about excessive costs.

“We’re thrilled to provide a platform for families and cinema enthusiasts to come together and experience the magic of film,” said Daniel.

“It also shouldn’t cost you a small fortune to attend especially at this moment in time with the cost of living raising.

“Other theatres, such as the Opera House in Manchester are offering the same experience but charging a staggering £18 per ticket, which adds up when you have to buy multiple tickets, then consider travel costs and refreshments.

“By offering affordable ticket prices, we aim to create memorable experiences that enrich our community without breaking the bank.”

Don’t miss out on the excitement! Join Hyde Festival Theatre this half-term holiday for an unforgettable cinematic journey.
