GREATER Manchester Fire and Rescue service are at the scene of a blaze in Stalybridge.
Crews were called to the scene on Northend Road on Monday, February 5 shortly before 7pm.
The fire involves a large quantity of wood in a stone yard.
In a statement, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue said:
“Just before 7pm last night (Monday 5 February), four fire engines from Stalybridge, Hyde, Ashton and Hollins fire station were called to reports of a fire at property on an industrial estate on Northend Road, Stalybridge. Crews arrived quickly at the scene.
“Firefighters are using a jet, a sector and ground monitor to extinguish the fire. Firefighters have been in attendance for around eleven and a half hours and are still at the scene.”
