A CHURCH in Audenshaw is inviting local residents to a special service which will help raise money for a children’s charity.
St Stephen’s Church will be holding a Christingle Service on Sunday, December 10.
All are welcome to the service, which begins at 4.30pm at the church on Stamford Road.
Donations will go to support The Children’s Society, a national charity which aims to improve the lives of children and young people facing abuse, exploitation and neglect.
Christingle celebrations are named after the Christingles that are lit during the ceremony. Christingles are oranges wrapped in red tape, decorated with dried fruit or sweets, with a candle on the top.
