THE festivities are guaranteed to be tree-mendous in Mossley this Christmas.
That’s because the town’s community centre, in conjunction with St John’s Church, is holding a Christmas tree festival.
It will be a winter wonderland of twinkling trees, festively decorated by community groups and sponsored by local businesses.
Any local businesses wishing to sponsor a tree can email finance@mossleycommunitycentre.org.uk
It will cost £25 and the name/logo of the business will be placed on the tree and on the community centre’s wall of sponsors.
The festival will be open on Friday, December 8, from 4pm to 7pm; Saturday, December 9, from 3pm to 8pm; and Sunday, December 10, from 11am to 3pm (following the Sunday service).
Admission is free but any donations will be gratefully received.
There will be seasonal refreshments available throughout the event and among the local bands and groups confirmed so far to be providing entertainment will be Good Vibrations, St Johns Band, Spring Chickens, MUGS and Mossamba.
