TWO VOLUNTEERS responsible for keeping areas clean and tidy have been rewarded for their efforts.
Eddie Stewart and grandson Joseph Boswell have showed unwavering dedication to keeping the Tame Valley pristine, whether that be litter picking the Peak Forest Canal or sprucing up Jet Amber Fields, which lies between Denton and Hyde.
Now their work has been honoured with Citizen’s Awards from Denton and Reddish MP Andrew Gwynne.
The politician said: “It’s been my pleasure to present these Citizen’s Awards.
“The Tame Valley is such a wonderful asset for us all and thanks to Eddie and Joseph, and all the other Friends of the Tame Valley volunteers, it will remain so for many years to come.
“A very well-deserved award. Well done and thank you, Eddie and Joseph!”
