A UNIT on Denton’s Crown Point North retail park would be turned into a dentist if planning permission is granted.
Mydentist wants to convert what was a Barnardo’s store into a site that would accommodate as many as 13 practitioners at once.
It would also incorporate a scanning area while on the first floor would be a staff area, as well as a call centre.
Mydentist would take on the unit, which stands close to Ashton Road, after it was occupied by Barnardo’s between 2014 and 2021.
The firm, which claims to treat more than four million people across the country, calls itself, ‘the UK’s leading provider of affordable dentistry, with nearly 550 practices across the nation.’
It already has facilities in Hyde and Dukinfield and Denton would become its third in the borough if Tameside Council’s Speaker’s Panel (Planning) committee grants permission.
I don’t think this would be the third, from the information I’ve received it looks like they would close the other more local branches to relocate to Denton CPN
