THE Civic Mayor of Tameside is holding a Bollywood curry night to raise money for her chosen charities.
There will be a three-course meal with entertainment, a live auction and a raffle.
The fundraiser is taking place on Wednesday, November 8, at the Indian Plaza in Audenshaw.
People should arrive at 5.30pm on the day for a 6pm start.
Tickets are £25 each and can be purchased from the Mayor’s Secretary, Christine Acton, by calling 0161 342 3087 or emailing mayorsoffice@tameside.gov.uk
The Civic Mayor said: “As I enter the second half of my year in office, I want to give my appeal fund an extra push. I’ve chosen some worthy charities which operate in Tameside and will put every penny I can generate for them to very good use.
“By buying a ticket and coming along on November 8 you’ll not only be supporting good causes but getting a delicious meal with live Bollywood entertainment as well. What could be better? Please come and join us because it’s going to be a great evening with a great atmosphere.”
The Mayor’s charity appeal fund comprises Home-Start (HOST), which offers expert support to families with young children that are going through difficult times; West African Development; and We Shall Overcome, an organisation which provides support for the homeless.
