Mossley Hollins raises hundreds for Macmillan

MOSSLEY Hollins High School raised hundreds of pounds for a cancer charity through selling coffee and cake.

The school on Huddersfield Road raised a fantastic £424.84 for Macmillan Cancer Support by holding a cake sale and coffee afternoon.

It was part of the national charity’s annual Coffee Morning fundraiser.

A spokesperson for Mossley Hollins said: “Massive thank you to all the students, parents, staff and members of the local community who baked, brought and bought cakes for Mossley Hollins High School MacMillan Cake Sale and Coffee afternoon.

“Whether our donation goes to support Macmillan’s Online community forum, or it aids with people affected by cancer ability to participate in wellbeing events, if it offers to relieve the financial pressure for those families affected by cancer, or goes to the funding of support workers or Macmillan nurses, the Mossley Hollins High School community agrees this is a fantastic cause.”
