A SERIES of initiatives aimed at enhancing community wellbeing are taking place in Hyde.
Tameside Council has teamed up with numerous organisations to launch the Community Support and Inspire Network, designed to strengthen local connections and support residents.
Monthly events, each with a different theme, will be held to provide vital support and information to the Hyde community.
The first one is on Wednesday, October 4, from 10am to 2pm in Clarendon Shopping Centre.
It will focus on community safety and feature information stalls covering various topics, such as road safety, Litter Hubs and Neighbourhood Watch.
On November 1, the network will be hosting stalls from the Grafton Centre, Kooth, Ingeus and Mentell amongst others.
The Community Support and Inspire Network will run from October to February, with aspirations to expand its reach to other town centres in the future.
Councillor Ged Cooney, leader of Tameside Council, said: “This initiative not only spotlights the exceptional contributions of local organisations but also provides an open space for residents to connect, learn and seek help when needed. Together, we can genuinely support our community by fostering a culture of collaboration.”
