Raise a glass at Tameside Beer Festival 2023

A POPULAR event on the Tameside calendar is returning later this month at a new venue.

Tameside Rotary’s Beer Festival has been a fixture for over a decade and raises thousands of pounds for good causes.

This year, it will be staged at Hyde Town Hall on Corporation Street as the festival’s regular home of Stalybridge Civic Hall is having roof restoration works carried out.

More than 40 beers on offer at the Tameside Beer Festival

The 2023 festival will take place on Friday, September 22, and Saturday, September 23, from midday to 11pm on both days, with last orders at 10.30pm.

Proceeds from this year’s event will be split between local mental health charity The Anthony Seddon Fund in Ashton-under-Lyne and the national charity of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) which helps to save lives at sea around the UK.

As always, there will be a range of over 40 craft beers and a selection of ciders and wines to cater for all tastes. There will also be some soft drinks and a selection of food available to purchase.

To keep folk entertained, there will also be live music throughout the festival, which has once again been well supported by local businesses.

Tameside Rotarians are hoping everyone will join them to say ‘cheers’ to the beers and raise a glass to make this year’s event a huge success.

  1. Well organised event on the Friday night. Swift efficient entry to venue. Plenty of beers to suit every taste. Chairs to be had with searching.
One major drawback, the two bands were FAR too loud. Not a reflection on their musicianship.
Couldn’t speak to friends so left early to go for a quiet pint nearby.
Won’t be back next year if same arrangements. – pity.
