A STALYBRIDGE restaurant will be closed ‘until further notice’ after a fire broke out.
Firefighters were called to Deli Felice, on Market Street, after a blaze affected the premises on Tuesday, March 7.
And its owners say: “Due to a fire we will be closed until further notice.“Thank you for understanding.”
Smoke was seen billowing from the building in Stalybridge’s town centre as fire engines from around the area attended the scene.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Just before 3pm yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 7th March), three fire engines from Hollins, Ashton and Stalybridge fire stations were called to reports of a fire involving a shop on Market Street, Stalybridge.“Crews arrived quickly at scene. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatuses used a hose reel and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
“Firefighters were in attendance for around an hour and 20 minutes.”
