Primary school PTA raising money through laughs

A MOSSLEY primary school hopes to have people laughing all the way to their donation box by staging a comedy night featuring top acts.

The parent teacher association at Milton St John’s has linked up with the successful Off The Rails comedy night as it looks to raise money to provide fun opportunities and events for pupils and go towards a long term goal of a new Forest School cabin.

And Duncan Oakley, Harriet Dyer, Faizan Shah and MC Rob Riley will be showing off their skill at getting people laughing, all for a serious reason.

You can ‘expect silliness, surrealism, surprises, big, big laughs and rocking tunes from British comedy’s best loved axeman’ when Duncan takes to the stage at the Royal George on Saturday, March 4.

Harriet Dyer is described as ‘a highly original and distinctive comedian, a lot of her comedy stems from her many mental health adventures.’

As well as the comedy, the PTA will be holding a raffle with prizes donated by local organisations and businesses, such as George’s Deli, Mossley AFC, The Allotment Cafe, Hatch Bakery, The Old Cobblers and Tumbles.

Tickets for the event, which starts at 8.30pm, cost £15 per person or £48 for a group of four and can be bought by clicking https://www.wegottickets.com/event/569761/
