GREATER Manchester Police are at the scene of an incident in Ashton-under-Lyne.
A cordon is in place around a property and forensics are also in attendance
The house on Bollington Street, just off Stockport Road has a mattress in the front garden with what looks like charred items on top of it.
Police were called to the scene at 7am today, Wednesday, January 18.
Crews from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue assisted officers.
GMP told The Correspondent:
“A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson and has been taken to hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.”
