STALYBRIDGE turned the page on its book of remembrance as veterans, local leaders and members of the community turned out for an Armistice Day ceremony.
On November 11, the town paid its respects to the fallen at its war memorial.

Then they headed to the nearby library, where the book of remembrance is stored and many gave witness to the precious document.
Councillors for Stalybridge’s wards joined ex-military servicemen and their families in a two-minute silence as the nation fell silent.
